During the hottest August on record, the two ARSIDER travel across southern France. Destination: Toulouse, Terre Blanque, a temporary outpost of self-managed civilisation where two soundsystems bombard the countryside, dry toilets fulfil philosophical functions and dogs are roaming over the dusty plateau. Amid heat, substances and sudden manifestations of solidarity, the two develop an increasingly unreliable perception of time and a growing familiarity with the absurd. They record everything, including events nobody remembers having experienced. What emerges is an apocryphal travel diary somewhere between sonic documentation, tropical pathology and a treatise on ontology as applied to camping, in which the distinction between experience and hallucination is gradually declared void for lack of evidence. It remains to be established whether ARSIDER travelled to Toulouse to play music, or whether Toulouse summoned ARSIDER to complete an experiment nobody ever authorised.
